Product Description Cast a country mile with Corvalus, Shimano's longest casting reel. You get long casting performance to hit out where the fish are. The Shimano Corvalus Reel's Variable Brake System (VBS) uses centrifugal force rather than magnets to aid in controlling the cast for increased distance and adjustability. Reel details: Non-disengaging levelwind system (only on 400 and 401 models) allows the levelwind to track back and forth during the cast which reduces drastic line angles that cause unwanted friction and backlashes on wide-spool reels; Metal frame keep moving parts in precise alignment for increased efficiency and durability; Two-post quick take down: By unscrewing the thumb screws the sideplate can be easily removed for maintenance or to adjust the VBS brake weights. Rubber handle grip is comfortable and soft to the touch; Diecast aluminum frame and sides; Clicker (available on models 400 and 401) increases the tension on freespool and activates a clicking alarm when a fish bites; Aluminum spool. Remember, top-notch casting means bigger catches! State Size. Order Today! AVAILABLE SEPARATELY: Left Hand - word search in our Store for 'Shimano'. Shimano Corvalus CVL400 Baitcast Reel :Excellent ! January 9, 2007 An absolute pleasure to fish with. I use it for tigerfishing in Africa and what a pleasure. Tigerfish is a fresh water gamefish and one hell of a fighter but the Corvalus proofed it's worth.
