Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Shimano has responded to the needs of the gamefish troller with a reel that can handle the demands of the serious fisherman. If you're like me, you're after walleye, pike and bass most of the year. Then comes salmon season. Now you could be using downriggers, planer boards, diving disks and lead core. No need to switch to a winch type reel if you have a Tekota spooled up. This sharp looking reel offers power and precision yet is light and compact so that it doesn't take the fight out of the fish. It's built on a one piece die cast aluminum frame with an aluminum spool to withstand season after season of punishment. The combination of both an aluminum spool and frame removes the flex out of the reel on those sizzling runs. Many of the reels with graphite spools rub against the frame on a hard run. Most fisherman think that the drag is sticking or that they did something wrong. But when they check the drag it works fine. A 20 lb. salmon can put enough strain on a graphite spool to stall it on the frame. So beware. Those reels are fine for 5 pounders but you get what you pay for. These reels have three corrosion resistant A-RB ball bearings and one roller bearing for smooth even line flow. It has crossbar forward construction for easy access to the spool and true levelwind for even line lay. The Super Stopper anti reverse and ergonomic handle are features you expect in a quality reel. You have to pay a little more for this reel but WOW, what a difference in performance and quality. Get a TEKOTA! The reel has the following features and comes with a full manufacturers warranty.SPECIFICATIONS: 3 A-RB stainless ball bearings & 1 roller bearing, Dartanium Drag, Super Stopper continuous anti-reverse,Backup anti-reverse pawl,Die Cast Aluminum frame,Aluminum Spool,One piece Aluminum handle side plate,Precision "Click" Star Drag,Oversized Clicker Button,Reel Wrench, Rod Clamp,Weight 14.3 oz.,4.2:1 gear ratio,1 Year warranty
