 Fun Travel Gadget! October 30, 2008
Im not a big fishing guy but have fishing rods always in my car trunk. These are nothing to carry by a car but way too big for flight trip. COLEMAN FISH PEN is the best solution. I was thinking what kind of fish live in La Seine (Paris) or rivers in Japan. So next time I will try to fish over there.

Nah,don't think I could recommend this product.The reel is ok,I guess.But the rod is alittle cheap.If you persist on getting it,go to [...] Reason is,the deal on here didn't turn out to be as good when you figure what U get and shipping.My package came partly open and it wasn't packed very good.Go to walmart for that matter.Hey,I'm just being honest.This might be ok for ya kid.

I received one of these for Christmas...still haven't fished with it though. But, it comes with a practice casting weight. I played with that outside for a little while and found that the setup is *VERY* accurate. The distance I was able to cast was also surprisingly far. My favorite though, was the ability to cast like a golf club due to the short pole. I was able to cast across my yard, under my Jeep, and into the neighbors yard without hitting my Jeep...Repeatedly!! My only dislikes are 1. The reel (closed face) has no drag and won't reel without constant line pressure. 2. The warning about the rod breaking with too heavy of a fish. What would I improve? I would like to have a better quality bait caster reel, that's all.

Haven't fished with the mini fishing pole yet. Was a gift for my son, who cast with it in the house. Seems to be of good, sturdy construction, and met all our expectations.

I Do Not recommend this product to anybody.
the reel can not reel in the string and the telescoping effect jammed up a lot. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
